The now NEWS PAPER COVER STORY

ThenowNEWSPAPER.COM COVER STORY

About Graffiti artist and about a mentor.

We talk a lot about crime and vandalism in town but who so ever talk about it definitely are concerned about the issues.  Unfortunately they know they don't have plan to fix the issue.

Instead they just talk loud in meetings and media to polish their name for their self interest.

They know they can't stop the crime because they really don't know how!

But mentorship is the way to go and Cst. Troy Derrick did that miracle of stopping the crime single handedly.

Instead of lockup Ian Ireland behind bars or charge him for the crime, he decided to do which law doesn't allow conventionally and moreover concerned are not interested in finding ways to switch that anger against public into public interest.

Cst. Troy Derrick is real hero of Surrey. Teens are subjects of environment and can adapt to right environment if given a chance and given a helping hand to accomplishment.

I really like to see at least 20 to 30 % mentorship stories from law and order makers and regulators.

It might be debatable that Cst. Derrick took a big risk but it is old saying nothing big is achievable without risk.

Such risks are worth while even if success is not sure short!

Canadian Politics Today is becoming filthy and negative and hopeless. Rather than collectively working on social issues political parties are busy collecting contributions and spending on negative ads against each other. It is really shameful for a developed country to campaign in such a fashion and wasting public time, hopes and money.

All we need is more sincere citizens and officers like Cst. Troy Derrick.
